Poppy & Lark Preschool is a fully licensed in-home, preschool with a dedicated learning space. We are strictly a preschool, not a daycare. Below are some FAQ that you may find helpful!
Q: Do children need to be potty trained to attend preschool?
A: Children do not need to be potty-trained in the 1/day/week session. For a 2+ day schedule, children need to be mostly independent on the toilet.
Q: What are the ages for enrollment?
A: I enroll children ages ~ 33 months-5 years of age.
Q: Do you accept UPK?
A: We do accept UPK for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Q: How much experience do you have as a teacher?
A: I have 22 years of teaching and curriculum writing experience!
Q: What is an academic year?
A: Regular preschool runs late August through late May. Summer options are available, but they run on a different schedule and fee structure than preschool.
Q: What is required in order to start preschool?
A: All families and students must tour and discuss expectations prior to starting. All paperwork, health forms, and registration fee must be returned prior to starting.
Q: Do you follow the public school schedule?
A: For the most part, yes, as far as major holidays go. We are closed on Labor Day, Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, MLK Jr. Day, President’s Day, and Spring Break. We do not follow the public school schedule for late start days, or any additional non contact days.
